EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
BACKGROUND
The Pohce Department is participating again this year in the Safe Sobex program, which is funded
through grants provided by the MN Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety.
As incentives for agencies to participate in the Safe Sober program, the Office of Traffic Safety holds
drawings to award equipment items to participating agencies in addition to the grant monies. Earlier this
year, the Rosemount Pohce Department was selected to receive one of the prizes
Mr Bob O'Brien will be at the meeting to present a Pro Laser III speed detection device to the Police
Department. Mr O'Bnen is the Officer of Traffic Safety's law enforcement haison m the metro area.
This speed detection device will be used by officers for speed and DWI enforcement.
