BACKGROUND
Mr Wendel has been on medical leave from his duties as firefighter since October 1, 2005 and is not able
to return to work at this time. Chief Aker is requesting a six month extension of the leave onguially
granted by Council in December. According to the Fire Department's personnel policies, "A medical
leave of more than sixty (60) days requires city council approval."
Medical documentation has been received to warrant approval of this leave.
