RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to accept a donation from Sony Computer
Entertainment for the DARE Program for use in the 2005 2006 program.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Council is asked to approve a donation of several items for use in the 2005 2006 DARE
program.
An unsolicited donation of items has been received by the Police Department for use in the
DARE Program. Dan Spaulding, National Account Manager Sony Computer Entertainment,
contacted Officer Chad Rosa DARE Instructor, to contribute items to the DARE program.
Mr Spaulding has donated three (3) Sony PlayStation 2 game stations, three (3) PS2 games
and three (3) Sony sweatshirts. These items, if accepted by the Council, will be used to
recognize students at each of the three Rosemount schools in which DARE is taught.
Students will be recognized and awarded the items for outstanding participation or
commitment to the DARE program this year.
