spurt of volunteerism among residents. The Council seeks to commend individual scouts who have
reached a high level of achievement m their programs.
The Gold Award is described as the highest award in Girl Scouting This prestigious national award is
available to Girl Scouts in grades 11 and 12. To achieve it, girls must complete extensive prerequisite
activities in the areas of leadership, skill development, and career exploration. They must also plan and
implement a leadership project involving a muumum 65 hours of community service over four months.
This year, three students from Rosemount have achieved the Gold Award:
Lindsey Jobin
Deborah Massey
