ISSUE
Request for Temporary On Sale Liquor Licenses for the Rosemount VFW at 2625 120th Street West.
BACKGROUND
The Rosemount VFW would like to set up a band and sell food and alcoholic drinks in a fenced area of
their parking lot on Saturday, July 22, 2006.
In addition, the Rosemount VFW has traditionally sponsored the Sneaky Pete's Tractor Pull. This year the
Tractor Pull is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 30th. The VFW would also like to sell food and
alcoholic dunks in a fenced area in the parking lot on that day.
The Temporary On -Sale Liquor License fee is $170 per event. The total fees of $340 for both events have
been paid
If these hcense applications are approved by the City Council, the licenses are presented to the State
Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division for final approval.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the temporary licenses for the Rosemount VFW on July 22 and July 30,
2006, with the following conditions.
The parking lot area is fenced in a manner approved of by the Chief of Police.
Access points to the fenced area are staffed by the VFW to control entry/exit.
All outdoor music must cease by 11:00 pm.
