RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to approve a Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for
the Rosemount American Legion for Leprechaun Days events on July 28th and July 29th,
2006, at 14590 Burma Avenue with fencing around the pavilion patio.

ISSUE
Request for a Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for the Rosemount American Legion at 14590 Burma
Avenue.
BACKGROUND
The American Legion has traditionally participated in the Leprechaun Days celebration by holding events
in their parking lot pavilion. They plan to sell alcoholic drinks with meals on Friday evening, July 28th,
and Saturday, July 29th. The temporary On -Sale Liquor License fee is $170 per event. This fee has been
paid.
If the license application is approved by City Council, the license is presented to the State Alcohol and
Gambling Enforcement Division for final approval.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the temporary license for the Rosemount American Legion during the
Leprechaun Days celebration on July 28 and July 29, 2006, with the following condttions:
The pavilion area is fenced in a manner consistent with prior years and approved
by the Chief of Police.
Access points to the fenced area are staffed by the Legion to control entry /exit.
All outdoor music must cease by 11:00 pm.
