Rosemount City Council to canvass returns of 2006 general election for City offices,
to be held Monday, November 13, 2006 at 4 p.m. in the City Council chambers

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Minnesota law requires the City Council to hold a special meeting within a week of the general election to
canvass the returns from the City's seven precincts. The canvass concerns the election for Mayor of
Rosemount and for two seats on the Council. Other races are not involved m the canvass.
At the meeting Council members will be provided with results m the three races from each precinct,
including a hsting of write -in votes, count of election day registrations, and total numbers of voters
registered. Once the canvass is approved, the City Clerk will certify the results to the Dakota County
Treasurer- Auditor.
Any recount would take place after the canvass.
