EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
All statutory cities are required to annually appoint a Council Member to the position of Acting Mayor to
conduct meetings in the Mayor's absence.
BACKGROUND
Council Member Shoe Corrigan was the Acting Mayor in 2005 and 2006. Council Member DeBettignies
held the position in 2004.
SUMMARY
Mayor Droste recommends the appointment of Council Member Baxter as Acting Mayor for the year
2007.
