EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
Mr. Knoble has been on personal leave from his duties as firefighter since October 28, 2006 and is
requesting additional leave. According to the Fire Department Personnel Pohcy, "Personal leave of more
than ninety (90) days and up to one hundred eighty (180) days requires city council approval." He already
had a 60 day leave and needs to extend it for work conflicts. Mr. Knoble will be returning to his position
on Rosemount's volunteer fire department on March 27, 2007 I recommend that he be allowed to take
this additional leave, Pete is a valued member of the department and current staffing levels allow us to
accommodate his request at this time
SUMMARY
Council approval of extending Pete Knoble's personal leave of absence for 90 days beginning on
December 28, 2006.
