on the DCC Board of Directors and William Droste as the alternate representative.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
BACKGROUND
The City of Rosemount is a member of the Dakota Communications Center (DCC) which provides 911
call center services to all of the communities in Dakota County. DCC is governed by a Board of
Directors. The Joint Powers Agreement forming the DCC provides for Rosemount to appoint an official
to represent the City on the Board of Directors for the DCC. We have been notified that the City must
appoint a Director and an alternate in January 2011.
DISCUSSION
Mayor Droste has been serving as our representative on the Board. He would like to relinquish his duties
on the DCC Board at this time and Councilmember Jeff Weisensel has indicated that he is willing to take
on the duties, which normally involves four regular morning meeting per year. Mr. Weisensel was the
alternate director during 2010.
RECOMMENDATION
Unless there is other discussion about who should be appointed to the Board, it is recommended that Jeff
Weisensel be appointed as our representative on the DCC Board of Directors and Mayor Droste be
appointed at the alternate member.
