All bids on construction of the Prestwick Place Y Street and Utility Improvements are hereby received and tabulated. 2. The bid of LaTour Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,141,437.31 for the construction of said improvements are in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, and is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted contingent upon securing all necessary right -of -way. 3. Upon securing all necessary right -of -way, the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount. 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next two lowest shall be retained until a contract has been executed. 5. Award is contingent on the City receiving satisfactory letters of credit to guarantee payment of special assessments by Akron 42, LLC for Street 14. ADOPTED this 16 day of August, 2011. ISSUE: Receive bids and award contract for the Prestcvick Place 3` Street Utiliry Improvements, City Project 436. BACKGROUND: On Friday, August 5, 2011, bids for this project were received and read aloud publicly. After verification of bids received, the low bidder is LaTour Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,141,437.31. All costs associated with this project will be funded by the developers, U.S. Home CorpoYation and Akron 42, LLC. The Prestwick Place 3` Addition is comprised of 27 single-family residential units. The proposed impYOVements include the installation of water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer throughout the project area, and the construction of appro�mately 1140 feet of 32-foot bituminous xoadway. This project also includes the construction of Abbeyfield Avenue which is appro�nately 1450 feet of 36-foot bituminous roadway that borders the development on the east. Additionally, this project includes the construction of a right-turn lane on �vestbound CSAH 42 at the entrance to Abbeyfield Avenue.
