RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Authorize the Preparation of a Feasibility Report for
2012 2014 Street Improvements Project.
BACKGROUND:
Beginning in 2010, the City initiated a plan to prcpare multi-�-ear feasibilin� reports (three year
impYOVement plan) to take a longer range look at upcoming projects and allo�v for more ad�-ance nouce to
properry o�vners. Based on this plan, each �-ear's feasibilit�- stud�- then re� and update the next
5�ear's project along �vith incorpoYating the thitd �-ear project.
The attached Capital ImpYOVement Plan map illustrates the roadways proposed to be evaluated within the
three y�ear feasibility report and bey-ond. `I'he follo�ving information �vill be included �vithin the thYee year
feasibility� report:
Existing conditions with detailed information on the eYisting materials
Proposed improvements
Detailed cost estimates and proposed funding sources
Estunated assessments
Proposed pedestrian improvements and bike lanes on 145` Street and Shannon Park�vay�
During the development of the feasibiliry report, additional discussions and public involvement will be
required for the proposed pedestrian impro�-ements and proposed bike lanes on 145`�' Street and Shannon
Park�va��.
At this time, Staff is requesting authorization to prepare a three year feasibilitt- report �vhich includes
detailed project information described above.
SUMMARY:
Staff tecommends Council appio��al of the attached xesolution to authorize the preparation of a feasibilit�r
report for the 2012 2014 Street Improvements Project.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBLITY REPORT FOR THE
2012 2014 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate the feasibility of
the 2012 2014 Street Improvements Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED The City Engineer is directed to have the necessary
feasibility report prepared for the 2012 2014 Street Improvements Project.
ADOPTED this 16 day of August, 2011.

Dear Mr. Brotzler:
Please find enclosed the final Construction Pay Voucher No. 6 for the above-referenced project in the
amount of $15,151.29.
Also enclosed are the following documents required for processing final payment for the above-
referenced project:
1. Satisfactory showing that the contractor has complied with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 290.92 requiring withholding state income tax.
2. Evidence in the form of an affidavit that all claims against the contractor by reasons of the
contract have been fully paid or satisfactorily secured.
3. Consent of Surety to Final Payment certification from the contractor's surety.
4. Two-year Maintenance Bond (warranty start date to coincide with the date Council approves
final payment).
We recommend that you make final payment in the amount of $15,151.29 for Ryan Contracting
