The "Eagle Scout" designation is the highest advancement rank for Boy Scouts, and nationally only five percent of Scouts achieve this goal. In the words of the Eagle Scout Promise, [Y]ou do your best each day to make your training and example, your rank and your influence count strongly for better Scouting and for better citizenship in your troop, in your community, and in your contacts with other people. And to this you pledge your sacred honor. The City Council tonight continues its tradition of honoring these accomplishments by commending brothers from Rosemount who recently achieved the Eagle rank. Adam Kutz is a junior at Rosemount High School. His service project was to re- landscape the entrance to Shannon Park Elementary School. The work included pruning trees, placing mulch, planting hostas, and painting. Adam plans to study engineering in college. Timothy Kutz is in the 8t grade at Rosemount Middle School. His service project was to clean up a pond at Red Pine Elementary School. He went into the pond wearing waders and dug out the accumulation of trash. He also painted warning labels near storm water drains alerting people to the impact of pollution on the pond. Timothy intends to go to college and has four years to decide where.
