Conduct Off -Site Gambling for the Rosemount Lions Club "at Central-Park, 2893 145
Street We st, Rosemount.
ISSUE
Donna Wohlers, Gambling Manager of the Rosemount Lions Club (the "Lions "), has submitted an
Application to Conduct Off -Site Gambling during Leprechaun Days. The Lions currently have a lease
agreement with Celt's Irish Pub ( "Celt's,') to conduct gambling at their establishment.
Minnesota Gambling and Control Board allows for licensed organizations to hold four off -site events per
calendar year. The Lions plan to conduct the off -site events on July 29 and 30 at Central Park iwbeer
garden sponsored by Celt's. The only type of gambling activity that will be conducted is the sale of pull -
tabs: The Lease Agreement with Celt's for the off -site activity is being provided free of charge to the
Lions.
City approval is required for gambling premises located within the City limits. Upon approval, the City
Clerk will submit approved application to the Gambling Control Board for final approval.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the above - state - motion.

AT'CENTRAL 2893145 STREET WEST, ROSEMOUNT
WHEREAS, the Rosemount Lions Club has held a Gambling Premise Permit at Celt's Irish Pub &_
Grill, 14507, South Robert Trail, in Rosemount since March 1, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Rosemount Lions Club has submitted an Application to Conduct Off -Site
Gambling -iri "the Celt's Irish Pub & Grill tent, 2893 145h Street West, in Rosemount, on July 29 and
30; 2011 during the Leprechaun Days celebration.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, hereby
approves the Application to Conduct Off -Site Gambling submitted by the Rosemount Lions Club
to conduct gambling at Celt's Irish Pub & Grill tent, 2893 145th'5treet West, in Rosemount, on July
29 and 30, 2011 during the Leprechaun Days celebration.
ADOPTED this 7th day of June, 2011 by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
