Rosemount Continue's to enjoy a large,number of young people who master the skills that qualify them for
the highest levels of achievement in Scouting. The "Eagle Scout" designation is the highest advancement
rank for Boy Scouts, and nationally only, five percent of Scouts achieve this goal.
`The City Council tonight continues its tradition of honoring these accomplishments by commending a
resident of Rosemount who recently achieved the Eagle rank.
Derek Schnoor is a freshman at Rosemount High School. For his major service project, Derek
organized a team on an especially hot day to perform landscaping duties at Red Pine Elementary-
School.. Among the many tasks completed were replacing woodchips on the grounds, repairing a
bench, and installing bird houses. Derek is interested at this early stage in a career in law
en f6rcement.
