Mr. Shawn McMenomy began his duties as a police officer with the Rosemount Police Department on-
May °17, 2011. He will be present at the meeting to take the Oath of Office.
Shawn is originally from Hastings where he graduated from Hastings High School. He was active in
athletics, serving as team captain in three sports, and also was in many other extra curricular activities.
Officer Mcmenomy earned a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State — Mankato.
Prior to joining our Police Department; he worked a variety of jobs including as a security guard within the
Saint Paul Public Schools and for the Dakota County Sheriffs Office as a Park Ranger in the Parks, Lakes
and Trails Division and as a corrections officer within the jail.
Upon completion of his field training, Officer McMenomy will begin working as a patrol officer in
September.
