RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve street closings for the Big Wheel Races
and the Parade as part of the 2011 Leprechaun Days Celebration and to add the events
listed below to the 2011 Leprechaun Days Service Agreement.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
In the spring of 2011, the City Council approved a service agreement with the Leprechaun Days
Committee. As in years past, street closing requests and the addition of events to the service agreement
have been brought to the City Council for approval.
SUMMARY
The current requests for street closings include:
1. Big Wheel, Trike and Scooter Races plus Penny Scramble Wednesday, July 27 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Burma Ave. from 145 St. to 146 St.
2. Parade Saturday, July 30 9:30 am to 2:15 pm
Starting at RHS Chili Ave. south to 145 St., 145 St. from Cimarron Ave. to Cameo Ave.,
Cameo Ave. north to R.MS
The Committee has also requested that the activities listed below be added to the service agreement:
Hunt for the leprechauns lost medallion
Medalist band in central park
Dance performance in central park
Irish dance at the library
Celts beer garden
Another week of rock at Carbone's
Photo contest exhibit
RHS girls alumni hockey game
