RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt a resolution amending Resolution 2009 - 75 a
Resolution Approving Amendments Setting the 2010 Schedule of Rates and Fees.
ISSUE
The Rates and Fees Schedule is updated on a yearly basis upon review of the fees established by City
departments.
The City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission recently discussed rental rates for the former St.
Joseph's Church. Staff proposed rental rates for the former church facility based on discussions that staff
recently had with the City Council regarding pricing that was to be reasonable and that would promote use
of the facility, and that all non -City events /renters should be expected to pay to use the space. Attached is
the fee schedule for the former St. Joseph's Church that staff is recommending be added to the 2010
Schedule of Rates and Fees. Also attached is information and a comparison of the rental fees at the
Lakeville Arts Center, Rosemount Community Center and Former St. Joseph's Church.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends that the City Council approve a motion to adopt a resolution amending Resolution
2009 - 75 a Resolution Approving Amendments Setting the 2010 Schedule of Rates and Fees.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS SETTING THE
2010 SCHEDULE OF RATES AND FEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the 2010 Schedule of Fees and Rates and recognizes
the need to amend certain rates and fees for 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found the need to amend certain Parks and Recreation
Department fees as described on Attachment 1.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, that it
adopts the attachment amending the Parks and Recreation Department fees.
ADOPTED this 4th day of May, 2010 by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.

OUTDOOR RENTAL ON LAAC GROUNDS
Rental events using the lawn and /or the parking lot will be charged a
fee based on the number of people attending the event. Set up shall be
under the supervision of LAAC or Parks Staff. Staff must be notified of
any posts driven into the ground one week in advance. Electric service
may require additional set fees.

BOX OFFICE SERVICE
Individuals /organizations using our ticketing services must use the City's $25 set up fee
registration program. All ticket sales will be entered into our database, and $1 /ticket
reimbursement of sales will follow the event on the City's payment schedule.

CONCESSION SALES
Groups that choose to sell concessions during intermission, before an event, or after an event will use the
downstairs classroom. If this space is unavailable, an alternative site may be arranged by the LAAC Manager.
The classroom and /or kitchen fee will be charged.
