ISSUE
Charles Muscoplat is the Vice President for Statewide Strategic Resources Development for the University
of Minnesota and UMore Park. He also holds a McKnight Presidential Leadership Endowed Chair. Dr.
Muscoplat holds the positions of Professor of Medicine and Microbiology in the University of Minnesota
Medical School and Professor of food, science and nutrition in the College of Food, Agricultural, and
Natural Resources Sciences. He served the University as Vice President for Agricultural Policy and Dean
of the College of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences from September 1999 until his new
appointment in July 2006. The City of Rosemount sees Mr. Muscoplat most in his capacity of furthering
the vision of the UMore Park project and he has attended many public meetings explaining various aspects
of the Plan.
Dr. Muscoplat will give a presentation to the City Council to update the City on the status of the UMore
Park project. This presentation is similar to that presented to the University Regents in December 2009.
