RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt the draft Resolution approving the Charitable
Gambling Premise Permit Renewal for the Rosemount VFW 9433, 2625 1201h Street West,
Rosemount effective March 1, 2010 to February 29, 2012.
ISSUE
Rosemount VFW Post 9433 (the "VFW") is requesting consideration for the renewal of its Gambling
Premise Permit at the Rosemount VFW, 2625 120'' Street West, Rosemount. The VFW is in the process
of renewing their application with the State of Minnesota which requires a resolution of support from the
City Council to proceed.
SUMMARY
The current premise permit will expire on February 28, 2010 and term of the renewal would be effective
March 1, 2010 through February 29, 2012. Dave Griffith serves as the gambling manager for the club.
The VFW produced reporting forms of the lawful expenditures were within the City's trade area. Some of
the lawful purpose donations made in Rosemount included the CAP Agency; Rosemount Parks and
Recreation Department; Boy Scouts; Rosemount High School Seniors; RHS Soccer Boosters; and the
Sneaky Pete Garden Tractor Pull held during Leprechaun Days.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the above- stated motion.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHARITABLE GAMBLING PREMISE PERMIT
RENEWAL FOR ROSEMOUNT VFW POST 9433,
2625 120TH STREET WEST, ROSEMOUNT
WHEREAS, the Rosemount VFW Post 9433 currently holds a Charitable Gambling Premise
Permit at Rosemount VFW, 2625 120th Street, Rosemount; and
WHEREAS, the Rosemount VFW Post 9433 has requested renewal of the Charitable Gambling
Premise Permit at Rosemount VFW, 2625 120th Street, Rosemount;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, hereby
approves the Charitable Gambling Premise Permit Renewal application submitted by the
Rosemount VFW Post 9433 to conduct charitable gambling at Rosemount VFW, 2625 120th Street
West, in Rosemount, for the period of March 1, 2010 to February 29, 2012.
ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 2010 by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
