On Public Premise Liquor Licenses4ROSEMOUNTEXECUTIVE SUMMARY CITY COUNCIL City Council Regular Meeting: December 21, 2010 ISSUE City Code 3 -1 -15 On -Sale License on Public Premise states the City Council may issue to the holder of an on -sale intoxicating liquor license issued by the city or a municipality adjacent to the city, a license to allow the dispensing of intoxicating liquor at any convention, banquet, conference, meeting or social affair conducted on the premises of a sports, convention or cultural facility owned by the City. BACKGROUND Shenanigan's Pub and Babe's Sports Bar & Grill have applied for the opportunity to serve intoxicating beverages at City owned premises. The applicants held said licenses in 2009 and 2010 and are in good standing with Parks and Recreation management. The fee for obtaining the license is $350.00. The duration of the granted license shall remain in effect from its issuance until December 31 of the year it is issued. No public hearing is required for the granting of an on -sale license on public premises. SUMMARY Staff recommends approval of the above - stated motion.
