RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt Changes to the 2010 City Council Meeting
Schedule.
ISSUE
Regular City Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Work Session meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Occasionally meeting
dates are changed to avoid conflicts with holidays or other events.
The following meeting.date changes are necessary due to Minnesota State Statute:
1. Caucuses will be held on February 2, 2010. The new meeting date proposed in Monday,
February 1, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.; and
2. Election Day is November 2, 2010. Therefore, the proposed start time is 8:00 p.m.
Another change to the calendar is necessary in August. National Night Out is schedule for August 3,
2010. It is proposed that the City Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.
CONCLUSION
Staff recommends approval of the changes to the 2010 City Council Meeting Schedule.
