RECOMMENDED ACTION: Presentation of Plaque of Appreciation
SUMMARY
Jason Messner has served on the Planning Commission from 2002 -2010 many of those years as Chair. Mr.
Messner has been a valuable asset to the Commission due to his active participation during meetings and
through special task force projects.
Mr. Messner served on the Downtown Committee which formulated, the Development Framework for
Domntown Rosemount and also on the UMore Advisory Group. During his tenure on'the Commission he
participating in the 42/52 Study and was of assistance in the significant ordinance changes for the
Commercial and.Iidustrial Zoning Districts as well as modifications to the Sign Ordinance. His leadership
during a high growth time M—the communities' history was extremely beneficial as his knowledge about,,
real estate and development issues assisted Commission decision- making.
The City Council and staff would like,to thank Mr. Messner for serving his community and helping to
shape a better future for Rosemount.
