REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
OCTOBER 5, 2010
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145`" Street
West.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members DeBettignies, Shoe - Corrigan and
Bills attending. Council Member Weisensel was absent. Staff present included City Administrator
Johnson, Chief of Police Kalstabakken, Director of Public Works /City Engineer Brotzler, Director
of Parks and Recreation Schultz, Assistant City Administrator Foster and City Clerk Domeier. The
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
City Administrator Johnson stated there were no changes to the agenda.
Motion by Droste. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to adopt the Agenda.
Ayes: 4
Nays: 0. Absent: Weisensel. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Tim Zamanovic, 14915 Danville Avenue, Rosemount, expressed concerns about the crosswalk
conditions at 145`h Street and Diamond Path. He requested additional safety measures be taken at
the crossing. Director of Public Works /City Engineer Brotzler responded to the public comment.
The current multi -lane configuration on Diamond Path combined with the speed and volume of
traffic is a safety concern for the consideration of striping a crosswalk at this time. He noted that
Dakota County is reviewing the feasibility of striping a crosswalk on Diamond Path at 145d' Street as
part of a planned overlay project on Diamond Path in 2011. The resurfacing of Diamond Path will
allow Dakota County to evaluate reconfiguring the striping on Diamond Path from a 4 -lane to a 2-
lane section. It is anticipated that Dakota County will have final plans for city review by the end of
the year. Mr. Brotzler will provide Mr. Zamanovic with any updates.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of upcoming meetings. The next City Council meeting will be
held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.
ADJOUNRNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by Bill, the meeting was adjourned at 7:49 p.m.
