RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt the draft Resolution approving the Charitable
Gambling Premise Permit for RAAA at Fireside located at 3410 150th Street West effective
June 1, 2010 and effective through May 31, 2012.
SUMMARY
Rosemount Area Athletic Association ( "RAAA ") is requesting consideration for a Gambling Premise
Permit at Fireside, 3410 150`" Street West, in Rosemount. RAAA is in the process of submitting their
application with the State of Minnesota which requires approval from the City Council to proceed. The
activity will assist RAAA in fundraising and help support their mission. RAAA has served the Rosemount
Area for over 20 years providing athletic programs to the youth.
Tom Luing will serve as the gambling manager. As part of the application process, the City conducts a
background investigation for the purpose of evaluating the application. The Police Department found no
reason to withhold the granting of a premise permit to RAAA.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the above - stated motion.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHARITABLE GAMBLING PREMISE PERMIT FOR
ROSEMOUNT AREA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION AT FIRESIDE, 3410 150TH STREET
WEST, ROSEMOUNT
WHEREAS, the Rosemount Area Athletic Association ( "RAAA ") has requested a Charitable
Gambling Premise Permit at Fireside, 3410 150th Street West, in Rosemount; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, hereby
approves the Charitable Gambling Premise Permit application submitted by the RAAA to conduct
charitable gambling at Fireside, 3410 150th Street West, in Rosemount, for the period effective June
1, 2010 and effective through May 31, 2012.
ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 2010 by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
