RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the On -Sale Wine including strong beer,
3.2% Liquor and Sunday Liquor License, Caf6 Raisa Ltd. for the premise located at 15090
Chippendale Avenue.
BACKGROUND
An On -Sale Wine including Strong Beer, 3.2% Liquor and Sunday Liquor Licenses application request has
been made by Cafe Raisa, Ltd. Viktor and Raisa Prokopenko own and operate Cafe Raise. Together they
have submitted the required liquor license materials. Staff has also received the background investigation
and liquor license fees. A background investigation was completed by the Police Department. Based
upon the results of the investigation, police staff found no reason to deny the liquor license.
City Code allows for Cafe Raisa to hold an on -sale wine license and serve strong beer. In order to serve the
strong beer, Cafe Raisa must also be licensed to sell 3.2% beer on -sale and have gross receipts that are at
least 60% attributable to sale of food.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the On -Sale Wine including strong beer, 3.2% Liquor and Sunday Liquor
License, Cafe Raisa Ltd. for the premise located at 15090 Chippendale Avenue.
