BACKGROUND:
On July 21, 2009 the Rosemount City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for
the 2009 Glendalough and Glendalough 2nd Additions. This project has been designated as City Project
#427. At this time, the plans and specifications are complete and copies are on file in the Engineering
Department. A brief review of the proposed improvements follows:
1. Location
The Glendalough and Glendalough 2n Additions consist of 23 single family residential units located on
approximately 9 acres located along the north side of Connemara Trail and west of Dodd Boulevard. The
development lies within the Evermoor of Glendalough preliminary plat and are generally located in the
eastern end of the Evermoor tract with the Glendalough additions represent some of the last remaining
areas in the Evermoor project to be developed.
2. Proposed Improvements
The proposed improvements include the construction of new 28 -foot wide city streets that include
surmountable concrete curb and gutter and 5 -foot concrete sidewalks. Utility improvements only include
the installation of storm sewer, as the majority of public utility improvements in the area to be platted were
previously installed with the Evermoor's Glendalough 7t Addition, City Project #401, in 2006.
In order to remain on schedule, Staff is asking Council to ratify the advertising for bids, which has been
published prior to this meeting.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and ratify the advertising for bids for the
2009 Glendalough and Glendalough 2n Additions, City Project #427.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the 2009 Glendalough and Glendalough 2" Additions, City Project #427, and such
plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk has prepared and caused to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under
such approved plans and specifications for City Project #427.
3. The advertisement has been published in each of said publications at least once not less than three
(3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specified the work to be done, stated the bids
would be publicly opened on September 3, 2009 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall
in said City, and that no bids would be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five (5 percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby ratified by the Council.
