RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to authorize the purchase of three (3) 2010 Ford
Crown Vic Police Interceptors off the State Contract at a total cost of $70,309.08.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
The CIP for 2009 includes the replacement of three (3) police squad cars. The City's purchase policy
requires Council approval for this purchase.
BACKGROUND
Police squads are scheduled for replacement every three years and when taken out of service the squads
have over 100,000 miles. This year there are three squads scheduled to be replaced.
The purchase of squads is made off a State Contract. Total cost for this purchase will be $70,309.08.
SUMMARY
Purchases of this amount are required to receive Council approval. Funds for this purchase are included
in the CIP budget for 2009 and the costs are within the limits of the available funds.
Council is asked to approve this purchase.
