Motion to approve a Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for the Rosemount VFW to hold a
Leprechaun Days event on July 26, 2009 from Noon to 6:00 p.m. at 2625 120 Street West
with fencing around the parking lot area where liquor will be sold.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
The Rosemount VFW (the "VFW has submitted a request for Temporary Outdoor On -Sale Liquor
License at 2625 120 Street West. The purpose of the request is to hold a Leprechaun Day event in their
parking lot.
BACKGROUND
The VFW has traditionally participated in the Leprechaun Days Celebration by sponsoring the tractor pull.
This year, the tractor pull is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 26 from Noon to 6:00 p.m.. The
VFW also plans to sell food and alcoholic drinks in a fenced area of the parking lot.
The $170 fee for the temporary license has been paid and the necessary liability insurance has been
submitted..
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the temporary license as requested by the VFW to hold the tractor pull
event on July 26. The approvals are subject to the following conditions:
1. The parking lot area be fenced in a manner consistent with prior years and approved by the
Rosemount Chief of Police.
2. Access points to the fenced area are staffed by the VFW to control entry /exit.
