City Council Meeting: April 21, 2009
BACKGROUND:
As discussed at the City Council Work Session on April 15 the use of high performance wet reflective
tape is proposed for the crosswalks in the downtown area. The attached exhibits illustrate the proposed
crosswalk configuration and locations in the downtown area. Staff is bringing this item to Council for
consideration and approval to install enhanced crosswalks specifically in the downtown area as defined in
the Downtown Plan.
SUMMARY:
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff is requesting that Council approve the use of high performance reflective tape for enhanced
crosswalk locations in the downtown area.
