Brotzler, P.E., Director of Public Works /City Engineer AGENDA NO. d ATTACHMENTS: Resolution APPROVED BY: Doi RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Directing Placement of No Parking Signs Along Both Sides of County Road 73 from CSAH 42 to Bonaire Path. 4 ROSEMOUNT CITY COUNCIL City Council Meeting: October 20, 2009 BACKGROUND: SUMMARY: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The proposed reconstruction of CountyRoad 73 from CSAH 42 north to Bonaire Path is being designed to Municipal State Aid standards. In anticipation of high projected traffic volumes and in accordance with Municipal State Aid requirements, the establishment of "No Parking" along this segment of County Road 73 is necessary. Staff is recommending that City Council adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking along County Road 73 from CSAH 42 to Bonaire Path. G: \ENGPROJ\399\ 102009 CC No Parking CR42- Bonaire Pathdoc 1 WHEREAS, the reconstruction of County Road 73 will be constructed in 2010 as City Project 399, and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its residents; and WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high volumes of vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount; and WHEREAS, vehicle parking along both sides of County Road 73 from CSAH 42 to Bonaire Path does create a hazard. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount authorizes the establishment of no parking on both sides of County Road 73 from CSAH 42 to Bonaire Path. ADOPTED this 20 day of October, 2009.
