RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to receive bids and award the contract to Peterson
Companies, the lowest bidder, who bid the project for $135,761.95.

City Council Regular Meeting: May 5, 2009
ISSUE
The 2009 Capital Improvement Budget (CIP) includes funding to construct Brockway Park. It was
estimated that the general site improvements for the park project would cost up to $204,402.00 to
complete. Staff worked with SRF Consulting Group, Inc. to compile a bid package and advertised the
project locally and also in a publication that is published regionally. It is anticipated that construction of
these site improvements will be completed by late summer in time for seeding in August and September.
The playground equipment and the sun shelter for Brockway Park will be bid separately later this spring.
SUMMARY
The City received twelve bids for the project and they are listed in the bid tabulation table below.
