EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
Minnesota State Statute 358.05 requires that City officials must take and sign an Oath of Office before
transacting any business or exercising any privilege of office.
BACKGROUND
The City of Rosemount's General Election was held on November 4, 2008. Kurt Bills and Jeff Weisensel
received the majority of votes for the two available Council Member positions. The position is a four year
term that will begin immediately after the Oath of Office is administered.
