ISSUE:
Receive bids and award contract for the Harmony 5 Addition Pickens Plat Street and Utility
Improvements, City Projects #422 #423.
BACKGROUND:
On Thursday, July 10, 2008, bids for this project were received and read aloud publicly. This project is
comprised of two separate areas located in the northeast corner of the intersection of Trunk Highway 3
and Connemara Trail, as shown on the attached map.
This project includes the construction of city streets with concrete curb and gutter and 5 -foot concrete
sidewalks, as well as private drives providing access to the multi family buildings. Utility improvements
include the construction of lateral sanitary sewer mains, water mains, and lateral storm sewer mains.
All costs associated with this project will be funded by the developer, The Rottlund Company, Inc.
SUMMARY:
The tabulation of bidders, resolution and letter of recommendation to award will be provided at the
Council meeting.
