RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to appoint Council Member Baxter as reprzi entative
and Council Member Sterner as alternate to the DCC Board of Directors, and tai appoint
City Administrator Verbrugge as representative and Assistant City Administrator Foster as
alternate to the DCC Executive Committee
BACKGROUND
The Dakota Communications Center (DCC) is a joint powers entity consisting of the cities in Dakota
County larger than 10,000 population and the County established for the purpose of consolidating and
jointly operating the public safety answering and dispatch services within Dakota County.
The joint powers agreement describes the representation of members on the Board of Directors and the
Executive Committee. The City of Rosemount has one representative and one alternate for each of those
committees. The representative term is a two -year appointment
SUMMARY
The City Council discussed appointments to the DCC Board of Directors at its work session on
December 12, 2007. The recommended motion reflects the consensus direction of that discussion.
