RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to appoint Council Member Sterner to the Po tion of
Acting Mayor for the City of Rosemount for the year 2008.
ISSUE
All statutory cities are required to annually appoint a Council Member to the position of Acting Mayor to
conduct meetings in the Mayor's absence.
BACKGROUND
Council Member Baxter was the Acting Mayor in 2007. Council Member Shoe Corrigan held the position
in 2005 and 2006. Council Member DeBettignies held the position in 2004.
SUMMARY
Mayor Droste recommends the appointment of Council Member Sterner as Acting Mayor for the year
2008.
