ISSUE Regular City Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Work Session meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month. Occasionally meeting dates are changed to avoid conflicts with holidays or other events. Meeting date changes are necessary due to conflicts during National Night Out in August and Election Day in November. The meeting scheduled for August 5 will be held on August 4 so that Council Members may attend National Night Out. In addition, the schedule should be changed to include a start time of 8:00 p.m. on November 4 due to Election Day statutes. CONCLUSION Staff recommends approval of the changes to the 2008 City Council Meeting Schedule.
