Administrator J ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: o RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Reappointment of Jeff Wendel as Fire Secretary for a Period of Three Years. ISSUE This is a recommendation to appoint Jeff Wendel to the position of Fire Secretary for another three years. His current term is expiring at the end of March, and according to Fire Department policy, the Secretary is to be selected from applicants meeting the minimum qualifications for the position. In this application process, Mr. Wendel was the only applicant. Jeff has been Fire Secretary for four years and a member of the department since 1997. He is well qualified to continue in the position and it is thereby recommended that his assignment to the position of Fire Secretary be confirmed by the Council. SUMMARY Staff recommends that Council approve the Reappointment of Jeff Wendel as Fire Secretary for a period of three years.
