EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
SUMMARY
Rosemount Area Hockey Association "RAHA is requesting consideration for a Gambling Premise
Permit at Carbone's Pizza Pub ("Carbone's"), 14550 South Robert Trail, in Rosemount. RAHA is in
the process of submitting their application with the State of Minnesota which requires approval from the
City Council to proceed. The activity will assist RAHA in fundraising and help support their mission.
Theresa Barck will serve as the gambling manager. As part of the application process, the City conducts a
background investigation for the purpose of evaluating the application. The Police Department found no
reason to withhold the granting of a renewal to RAHA
RAHA was started in 1995 and is a youth -based hockey association representing over 400 kids and 250
families in the community. The association seeks to provide a community and volunteer- driven program
to promote the growth and development of Rosemount hockey players. RAHA works to promote a fun,
fair, and safe environment that maximizes participation and improvers the players' skills while developing
sportsmanship, teamwork, and self confidence.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the above stated motion.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CHARITABLE GAMBLING PREMISE PERMIT FOR
ROSEMOUNT AREA HOCKCY ASSOCIATION AT CARBONE'S PIZZA PUB,
14550 SOUTH ROBERT TRAIL, ROSEMOUNT
WHEREAS, the Rosemount Area Hockey Association "RAHA has requested a Charitable
Gambling Premise Permit at Carbone's Pizza Pub, 14550 South Robert Trail, in Rosemount; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, hereby
approves the Charitable Gambling Premise Permit application submitted by the RAHA to conduct
charitable gambling at Carbone's Pizza Pub, 14550 South Robert Trail, in Rosemount, for the
period effective upon State review and effective through February 28, 2010.
ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 2008 by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
