ISSUE:
Receive quotes and award the contract for the CSAH 38 /Shannon Parkway Turn Lanes, City Project
#424.
BACKGROUND:
This project will create an eastbound right turn lane and a westbound bypass lane on CSAH 38 at Shannon
Parkway. The City and County will jointly participate in the engineering, administrative and construction
costs for this project. The City's portion of the project cost is anticipated to be funded with Municipal
State Aid funds.
SUMMARY:
Quotes for the referenced project have been received. Staff will have a tabulation of quotes and resolution
to present to Council at the meeting.

RESOLUTION 2008 -
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR CSAH 38 /SHANNON PARKWAY TURN LANES
CITY PROJECT #424
WHEREAS, City Council hereby ratifies action of City Engineer to secure quotes.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The quote of Bituminous Roadways of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota in the amount of
$120,479.32 for an eastbound right turn lane and a westbound bypass lane shall be and
hereby is accepted.
2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said
bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of
Rosemount.
3. Award of the contract is contingent on the determination by the City Administrator that all
necessary rights -of -entry or easements by deed or dedication have been secured for
construction of the improvements.
ADOPTED this 19`' day of August, 2008.

Quotes were received for the above - referenced project on Thursday, August 14, 2008, and were
opened. A total of three quotes were received. The quotes were checked for mathematical
accuracy and tabulated. Please find enclosed the bid tabulation indicating the low bidder as
Bituminous Roadways, Inver Grove Heights, in the amount of $120,479.32.
We recommend that the City Council consider these bids and award a contract to Bituminous
Roadways, based on the results of the bids received.
