EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
BACKGROUND
As part of the Town Centre Project, staff has worked with Xcel Energy to develop a proposal for Xcel
Energy to relocate existing overhead power lines underground. The attached agreement outlines the terms
and conditions which Xcel Energy will work to relocate the overhead power lines on 146 Street and
Burma Avenue from 146 Street to Lower 147 Street.
The cost of $22,594.00 for Xcel Energy to complete this work will be reimbursed from the Metropolitan
Council LCDA grant monies that the city has received for the project.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends Council approval of the Xcel Energy agreement and authorization for the necessary
signatures.

REPLACING 1- 40'/45'3 POLE. ALSO REMOVE 4 -40'5 POLES, 4 -SPANS OVERHEAD PRIMARY
AND SECONDARY WIRES, AND A 1 PHASE 37.5KVA AND A 3 PHASE 37.5KVA
CONVENTIONAL. CUSTOMER IS TO PAY $22,594.00.
PROJECT WILL BE AS PER THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT.
The facilities installed or removed by the Company shall be the property of the Company and any payment
by customer shall not entitle customer to any ownership interest or right therein.
The undersigned hereby requests and authorizes Northern States Power Company, d /b /a Xcel Energy to
do the work described above, and in consideration thereof, agrees to pay
Twenty two thousand and five hundred ninety four 22,594.00 in accordance with
the following terms:
