ATTACHMENTS: List of names for officers, committee APPROVED BY: V members and coordinators RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the training coordinators, fire prevention personnel, safety officer, captains and lieutenants as present for the next year. BACKGROUND The suggested names, for officers, committee members and coordinators, for positions on the fire department for the next year are attached. Annually, according to City policy, these people need to be approved by the City Council. With input from the Assistant Chief Mike Haeg, as well as my own evaluations, a decision was made to select these people to serve in the capacities indicated for the coming year. The safety officer, which is the function of the assistant fire chief, needs to be approved officially as required by OSHA. SUMMARY The fire department looks to the City Council to ratify these appointments.
