RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the off -sale liquor license application for
Duluth Management, Inc. DBA Shenanigans Liquors for property located at 15047
Crestone Avenue with the condition that the current owner relinquishes its liquor license
upon the sale of the business.
ISSUE
Duluth Management, Inc. "DMI has applied for an off -sale liquor license. DMI has a purchase
agreement with Shenanigans Wine and Spirit's and the closing is expected to occur the first week in May.
SUMMARY
DMI submitted its off -sale liquor license application on February 28, 2008. DMI completed the required
application and provided proof of insurance. DMI intends to operate the establishment in a manner
similar to the current owner. Their plan is to keep operating under the Shenanigans Liquors name.
Bhavin Patel, the officer of DMI, will serve as the manager. The Police Department conducted
background checks on the applicants and found no reason to deny the issuance of the license.
Once the closing has taken place, the City will require the current owner to relinquish its off -sale license
before the City will issue an off -sale license to DMI.
CONCLUSION
Staff recommends approval of the above stated motion.
