Street and Utility Improvements, Cifiy Project#380.
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
. On December 21, 2004, Council authorized the,preparatian of plans and specifications
for the above-referenced project.
The plans and specifications address the construction of street and utility improvements
necessary for the development of Meadows of Bloomfield 3`d Addition residential
development located west of Connemara Trail, north of the Canadian Pacific Railway,
and south of County Road 38.
The proposed improvements include the construcfion of City streets that include
concrete curb and gutter and 5-foot concrete sidewalks. Utility improvements include
the construction of (ateral storm sewer and sanitary sewer and lateral and trunk
watermain. The developer, Centex Homes, will be funding all costs associated with the
street and lateral utility improvements. As`previously presented in the Feasibility Report
for Meadows of Bloomfield Street and Utility Improvements, City core funds will be
utilized for trunk faciiity oversizing costs.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council approval of the plans and specifications for the project and
authorization to advertise for bids. A copy of the plans and specificafrons for the project
are on file in the Engineering Department for your review. �

RESOLUTION 2005 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFtCATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
MEADOWS OF BLOOMFIELD 3RD STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJEGT#380
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Rosemount have ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for Meadows of Bloomfield 3`d Street and Utility Improvements, City Project#380
and such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approvaL•
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and spec'rfications for City Project#380.
3. The advertisement shall be published in eaeh of said publications at least once not less
than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be
done, sha11 state the bids will be publicly opened on April 29, 2005 at 10:00 o'c{ock a.m. at
the Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and
filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
