ACTION: At the March 9, 2005 Council Work Session, a draft of the Comprehensive Wetland ' Management Plan was briefly discussed. Upon further review of the draft document, there are some minor points within the document that Staff would like to review for consistency. This review may also include reconvening the Wetland Task Force to review these items. At this time, Staff is requesting that Council continue the public hearing to May 17, 2005. The City of Rosemount developed a Comprehensive Wetland Management Plan (CWMP) in 1998 to establish wetland management strategies and objectives in relatian to land development. The Comprehensive Wetland Management P1an Amendment includes new language and policies that have been developed to address wetland issues affecting land development with respect to the needs and concerns of the community, such as, wetland conservation, conservation of natural areas, and public education. The plan is a collaboration of regulatory policy derived from both state and local jurisdiction for the purpose of protecting and preserving the water resources within the Rosemount community.
