ISSUE:
Staff are requesting to have certain city streets temporarily closed for conducting events in
conjunction with the 2004 Leprechaun Days Celebration. The reason for the street closings is
to provide safe event sites.
BACKGROUND:
For the past several years the Leprechaun Days Celebration organizers have submitted a
request for services and temporary street closings to the City Council. Because the city is
coordinating this year's celebration, staff will not be submitting a service request form but we
still would ask the Council to approve temporary street closings,
