RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Hiring of Colby Cartney for the Position
of Building inspector.
ACTION:
SUMMARY
For City Council consideration is a recommendation to hire Mr. Colby Cartney for the position
of Building Inspector. After conducting an internal recruitment, the Community Development
Director has determined that he would be best suited to fill the position. Mr. Cartney began
working for the City of Rosemount on October 6, 2001. For the past five months he has been
in a Building Inspector Intern capacity. Mr. Cartney will soon be completing a degree in
Building Inspection Technology. It is anticipated that Mr. Colby's change in position status
will occur on October 6 pending Council approval.
