Minutes of March 13 and March 31, Special City Council Meetings6 ROSEMOUNT CITY PROCEEDINGS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 31, 2004 A special meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at the Office Complex, 860 Blue Gentian Road, Eagan, Minnesota. Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members Riley, Shoe- Corrigan, Strayton, and DeBettignies in attendance. Also in attendance were city department. heads City Administrator Verbrugge, Assistant Administrator Weitzel, Finance Director May, Community Development Director Lindquist, City Engineer Brotzler, Parks & Recreation Director Schultz, Police Chief Kalstabakken, and Communications Coordinator Cox. City Administrator Verbrugge gave a review of the 2003 goals. Council perceptions were discussed regarding working relationships with Council and city staff to Council. The Carver Governance model was discussed and a modified version was described as acceptable for future use. Department Heads reviewed the 2004 -2005 Work Program. City Council reviewed the goals and set priorities. Staff was directed to condense the information and present it at a regular meeting in May for approval. Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members Riley, Shoe- Corrigan, Strayton, and DeBettignies in attendance. Also in attendance was City Administrator Verbrugge. City Council interviewed eight applicants for city appointed commission positions. Those interviewed were: Valerie E. Schultz, Myron Napper, Leslie Defries, Laurie Humphrey, John M. Powell, Phillip Sterner, Joan Schnieder, and Matthew Kearney. City Council directed staff that final recommendations would be presented at the regular meeting of March 16, 2004. Mayor Droste made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed 5 -0.
