NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Rosemount will split Precinct 5 in half, producing Precinct 5A and Precinct 5B, thus distributing the voting population to two separate polling locations. The boundary descriptions are contained herein and Exhibit A map. Precinct 5 A From the intersection of 150th Street West (CSAH 42) and the western City boundary east along 150 Street West (CSAH 42) to Shannon Parkway, then south along Shannon Parkway, then west along 156 Street West, to Danbury Avenue, north on Danbury to 155 Street West, then west along 155t Street West to the western City boundary of Diamond Path (CR`33), then north along the western City boundary to the beginning Precinct 5 B From the western City Boundary intersection of 155 Street West and Diamond Path (CR 33) east to Danbury Avenue, then south on Danbury Avenue to 156 Street West, then east on 156 Street West to Shannon Parkway, then south along Shannon Parkway to the southern City boundary 160 Street, then west along 160 Street to the western City boundary, then north along the western City boundary to the beginning at 155 Street West and Diamond Path. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council agrees to establish polling locations for each precinct as follows: Precinct 1: Rosemount Elementary, 3155 144th Street West Precinct 2: Dakota County Technical College, 1300 145th Street East Precinct 3: Shannon Park Elementary, 13501 Shannon Parkway Precinct 4: Rosemount Public Works Garage, 14455 Brazil Avenue Precinct 5A: Old St. Joseph's Church, 14375 South Robert Trail (Hwy 3) Precinct 5B: Jaycee Park Shelter, 15425 Shannon Parkway Precinct 6: Marcus Theater, 15280 Carousel Way RESOLUTION 2004-... Let it be noted that the polling location is temporarily changed for Precinct 4 from the United Methodist Church to the Rosemount Public Works garage, 14455 Brazil Avenue due to the remodeling of their building and on going ministries. Let it also be noted that Precinct 5A hopes in the future to use Our Saviors Lutheran Church which will be under going redevelopment in the summer and fall of 2004 and is located across 150 Street West, north of Precinct 5A. However, St. Joseph's Church was available and very helpful in filling the city's needs for this election. St. Joseph's is handicap accessible and provides adequate parking.
