Jeff Smith has contacted staff indicating he will not be able to participate in the Downtown Committee due to
previous commitments. Because this is an important issue to the community, and because there is months of
work ahead, staff is recommending another person be. appointed to participate on the Committee. Mr.,Daniels
was previously interviewed for the Committee and has indicated a continued strong interest in the subject. He
has indicated that he would be happy to serve on the committee and in fact attended the last meeting as an
interested citizen. Staff is recommending appointment of Mr. Daniels to the Downtown Committee.
